Lockup Series
(Episode Two)
Our lockup series is basically to share beautiful stories of some of the influencers that you know. No doubt, lockdown experiences hadn't been funny, the fact that prices of things has skyrocketed is disheartening and what more can we do than look for possible means of survival.
Like I said in the first episode, if you haven't been taking profitable actions, then you're endangering yourself because there is and might still be economic insecurity in most parts of the world. The best way of playing safe is to ensure that you're economically defensive.
Our next guest is Winifred Leche, she is a professional storyteller and Chef, as a matter of fact, she coached me on the art of storytelling, so she is my boss in business😁
She has got an interesting story to tell, her ups, downs and how she's been coping since the pandemic, you should read her story because this might inspire you😚
Winnie's Story
Life is full of challenges and experiences; the bad, the good, the unexpected but what we make out of it makes the difference.
Who would have thought that a time will come when the world will be asked to 'standstill?'
I had my goals written already and was following through with them until a Nationwide lockdown was declared due to Covid-19.
I had to sit down and restrategize on how to make this period worthwhile.
First, as a way to improve my storytelling skills, I took up a Storytelling course from Rochester Institute of Technology, USA, I also started a Management course from Harvard Business School.
Secondly, with my little knowledge on sewing, and since I had the intention to improve on the skill, I bought a sewing machine and started learning tailoring through the tutelage of one of my friends.
After few weeks, when it looked like the country/state wasn't opening up soon, I opened a provision store in the street where I live.
As a Corp member, I had been saving up a part of my monthly allowance AKA "allawee" as a means of backing up my savings.
Lastly, during this lockdown, I have been able to train about 40 individuals on Storytelling.
It has been an interesting lockdown experience for me.
What next step will you be taking?
Can I know in the box below👇👇
No matter how little the effort applied looks, remember it's better than not doing at all. "It is not great meetings or knowledge that makes people but great decisions ", start sorting those goals, lockdown shouldn't stop you, if not na you lockup!
